After years of neglect, the palace has undergone a major rennovation to reopen as a culturual center to celebrate the rich history of Bhutan.&nbsp; Hoffman Creative, through their connection with the Bhutan Foundation, was asked to create a brand identity for the palace and subsequently create a signage and wayfinding system for the new cultural center grounds.The final product is a design system of 20+ signs that guide visitors across the palace grounds in both English and Dzongkha, Bhutan’s official language. Previously a trifolded brochure with a french fold, the map was frequently reprinted to accomodate gallery rotations. Portraits of loved ones are rendered in sand, printed by a modified plotter. The portraits disappear almost as soon as they are completed. Finished portraits are photographed, printed, and added to the gallery on a monthly basis.&nbsp; The design of the exhibition was a close collaboration between curatorial, exhibition design, and graphic design with parameters from the artist.
