Wangduechhoeling Palace
Signage & Wayfinding
2025
Located in Bhutan’s Bumthang Valley, the Wangduechhoeling Palace served as the primary residence for modern day Bhutan’s first Monarch. After years of neglect, the palace has undergone a major rennovation to reopen as a culturual center to celebrate the rich history of Bhutan.
Hoffman Creative, through their connection with the Bhutan Foundation, was asked to create a brand identity for the palace and subsequently create a signage and wayfinding system for the new cultural center grounds.
The final product is a design system of 20+ signs that guide visitors across the palace grounds in both English and Dzongkha, Bhutan’s official language. The sign’s powder coated blue frames draw visitor attention from across expansive lawns and an isometric map illustration provides visitors with a complete view of the campus.
